Terms & Conditions

Architecture Events has three account types: Attendees (who browse, save, and follow events), Organizers (who submit and manage event listings), and Admins (who review and moderate listings on behalf of the platform). You're responsible for the accuracy of your account details and for keeping your login credentials confidential. You must be old enough to enter a binding agreement in your jurisdiction to create an account.

Organizers can submit an event either from the public submission form or from the Organizer dashboard. Every listing requires at least one thumbnail image before it can be submitted for review — this is enforced by the platform and cannot be bypassed.

Once submitted, a listing moves through the following states:

• Draft — saved but not yet submitted; only visible to you.
• Under Review — submitted to our editorial team for approval.
• Changes Requested — our team has asked for specific edits before it can go live; you'll receive an email with the requested changes and can resubmit once addressed.
• Published — live and visible to the public on the Events page.
• Rejected — not approved for publishing; you'll be notified by email.

Our editorial team may approve, request changes on, reject, unpublish, or remove Featured status from any listing at any time, at our discretion — including listings that are already published — if we believe it violates these Terms, is inaccurate, misleading, or otherwise not a good fit for the platform. You'll be notified by email whenever we take one of these actions on your listing.

You're solely responsible for the accuracy of your listing and for actually running the event as described. Architecture Events is a discovery and listings platform — we are not the organizer of any third-party event, and we're not responsible for what happens at, or as a result of, an event you find or register for through the platform.

Organizers can pay a one-time fee to request Featured placement for an eligible event — Featured listings appear near the top of the Events page with a Featured badge. Payment is processed securely by Stripe; we never see or store your full card details.

A Featured request is not automatically approved just because payment succeeds — it enters a pending-review queue and our editorial team makes the final call. If a paid Featured request is declined, the payment is automatically refunded through Stripe. Refunds are initiated immediately on our side, but the funds typically take 5–10 business days to appear back on your card, depending on your card issuer — that timing is set by the card networks and banks involved, not by us. If a refund attempt fails for a technical reason, our team can retry it, and you can reach out to us if you don't see it resolved.

You retain ownership of the event details, descriptions, images, and video you submit. By submitting a listing, you grant Architecture Events a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce, and distribute that content on the platform (and in promotional placements like the homepage or newsletter) for as long as the listing remains published, or as needed to operate the service.

You confirm that you own or have permission to use everything you submit, and that it doesn't infringe anyone else's rights.

You agree not to:

• Submit fraudulent, misleading, or fake event listings.
• Impersonate another person or organization, or misrepresent your affiliation with one.
• Upload content you don't have the rights to, or that infringes intellectual property rights.
• Use the contact, advertise, or messaging features to send spam or unsolicited commercial messages unrelated to a genuine inquiry.
• Attempt to bypass the platform's review process, security controls, or the mandatory-thumbnail/payment requirements described above.
• Interfere with or disrupt the platform's normal operation.

Violating these terms may result in content removal, listing rejection, or account suspension or termination, at our discretion.

If you opt in to the newsletter (from the homepage, footer, or during Attendee sign-up), we'll send periodic emails about upcoming events and platform updates. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link included in every newsletter email. We'll also send you account-related transactional emails (verification codes, password resets, and status updates on listings or Featured requests you've submitted) — these aren't marketing and can't be opted out of while you hold an active account, since they relate directly to actions you've taken.

You may stop using the platform or request account deletion at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms, submits fraudulent listings or payments, or poses a security risk to the platform or its users.

Architecture Events is provided “as is.” We don't guarantee that any listed event will occur as described, that the platform will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that editorial review will catch every inaccurate listing. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Architecture Events is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, your attendance at, or your organizing of, any listed event.

We may update these Terms as the platform evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above. Continuing to use Architecture Events after a change means you accept the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Architecture Events operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where local consumer-protection law requires otherwise.
